本刊於2009年10月創刊，由中華民國振動與噪音工程學會及Airiti Press共同出版發行，「應用聲學與振動學刊」旨在提供聲學與振動相關問題的理論與試驗研究、減振與降音技術的開發以及利用結構內蘊的聲音與振動特性開發可用技術等之成果發表，其他如公眾議題相關的環境振動與噪音相關管制政策與法規之論述或成果、生命體相關的生理與心理聲學等亦屬歡迎課題。本學刊除歡迎學術性與應用性論文外，也很歡迎各界將聲音或振動相關技術研發心得或成果以科技短文呈現，本刊擬發展為包容性較廣之刊物。
