探究教學研究議題在過去二十多年來影響國際的科學課程以及科學教育研究,此議題也將繼續影響未來的科學教學與學習之研究方向。雖然探究以及探究教學是一個國際科學教育領域所重視的議題,但是在國際化的過程中如何檢視本土學者對此議題的理解也是非常重要的課題,畢竟科學教育與社會文化脈絡息息相關。本學刊在過去二十一年來有許多學者發表量化的探究教學研究,這些研究的成果能提供臺灣科學教育學者對探究的詮釋以及對探究教學成效所重視的面向。因此我們集結成專書,期盼讀者能細細品味臺灣科學教育學者如何吸收西方學者的探究文獻與理論,進而轉化為本土化的探究教學內涵,以及相關的實施成效之評估。
